Some of the girls' special occasion dresses in the Perfume River collection are limited editions only, so you are unlikely to get a scenario where your little girl turns up at a birthday party in an identical dress to her friends, which often happens if it's a Monsoon dress! Our girls' dresses are made on a small, bespoke scale, to our own specifications. We are not mass manufacturer and with many of the child dresses within our range, especially girls' formal dresses, they are hand-finished with beading and embroidery so no one dress is identical to the other dress, hence it only adds to the unique quality, beauty and individuality of each dress.

Our collection combines exquisite hand embroidery with the use of vibrant colours in Vietnamese sumptuous silk taffeta and satin in our special occasions and flower girl dress range, for a truly glamorous look. We understand that when you work with children, especially young children, infant and toddler, comfort in what they wear is crucial if they are going to wear the dress again! We use only the softest of materials for all our dresses, this means having the dresses nicely lined inside where required and using the softest tulle available. Smocking is known to be a very traditional and highly skilled European craft, but what many people don't realise is the Vietnamese are extremely good at it too! The French colonisation of Vietnam for over 100 years has left this wonderful art of smocking (in addition to their architecture, baguette & pâté!). Perfume River baby smocked dresses are made of soft cotton in a classic modern design, they look great on both little babies and toddlers.
